About West Orange, NJ - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

West Orange, New Jersey is a township found in Essex County. It is large in population with just over 46,000 residents, and it was originally part of Newark Township. Today, West Orange also includes several unincorporated communities located either completely or partially within the township, such as Saint Cloud, Crystal Lake, and Crestmont. West Orange is also well-known for its varied housing types and four main neighborhoods: Pleasant Valley and Pleasantdale, Downtown West Orange and The Valley, The First Mountain, and The Second Mountain.

West Orange is a popular destination for New Jersey visitors. The Turtle Back Zoo has been ranked the top zoo in the state, and families with children might enjoy an afternoon at Essex County Safari Mini Golf. The Essex Green Shopping Center is a popular outdoor mall that offers stores and restaurants, and the AMC Theatres Fork and Screen is a movie theater that also serves food. The Jersey Rockhoppers hockey team plays at Richard J. Codey Arena, and the township features two large parks – the South Mountain Reservation and the Eagle Rock Reservation.

Varied weather conditions make West Orange a unique place to visit and live. This is especially true during the summer, as tempreatures warm up into the 80s and 90s. High humidity is typical in the region, and this make outdoor conditions feel even warmer. This muggy weather often sends residents indoors in order to stay cool, and a central air conditioning system is a major asset. Regular maintenance during the milder spring months is also recommended by West Orange HVAC specialists.

Life is very different in West Orange during the winter. The area is cold and damp, although snowfall totals are lower than other parts of the U.S. With about 25 inches of total snow each year and the possibility for freezing temperatures, residents need the right gas or electric furnace at home to stay comfortable.
