While this borough in considered a suburb to New York City and Newark, it has also developed its own economy and individual community.

Caldwell is home to many great restaurants that offer a wide variety of cuisine options, including Cloverleaf Tavern, Fat Fish Taco, Benji’s Taqueria Mexican Grill, and Sabor Peru. A Touch of Wellbeing provides massage therapy and other spa services, and specialty shops include Somewhere in Time, Runway Boutique, and Gotham Comics.

Seasonal weather conditions are typical of the climate in Caldwell. Winters are cold and damp with average seasonal snowfall of about 29 inches. However, weather pattern variations can bring sparse snowfall one year and several major nor’easters the next, so it is crucial that residents are prepared at home for anything. Gas or electric heating systems are a necessity in Caldwell homes and businesses to ensure that indoor temperatures stay safe and consistent.

Summertime weather in Caldwell is hot with high humidity. When muggy air combines with temperatures in the upper-80s, the heat can feel oppressive. Many residents purchase central air conditioning to keep their homes comfortable throughout the hot summer weather, and the right system can also maintain good indoor air quality.
